What to wear when you’re there
Stockholm – Street StyleStockholm is home to some of the edgiest labels on the fashion scene at the moment. High end labels including Acne, Dagmar, Filippa K and Whyred, as well as brands at the more affordable end of the scale, like Cheap Mondays and Monki. So it’s not surprising that Stockholm inhabitants have quite a particular style sensibility. The prevailing look on the street during fashion week was pared down, androgynous, some use of colour blocking but generally very on trend. Sheer shirts and blouses were a popular choice and brogues stole the show on both men and women. The thing to remember is that Stockholm is a city of extremes, weather wise. During this particular trip in August the temperature reached up to 25 degrees, but I have been in the winter months before, when it can go down to minus 10 degrees, so be warned, always check the weather report!
