Visiting Versailles Palace has always been a dream

Visiting Versailles Palace has always been a dream for me. I’ve been to Paris so many times, but never made it as far out of the city as the palace.

Versailles and its surrounding villages are so pretty and quintessentially French, it’s worth making an overnight stay or weekend trip to Versailles on its own. I stayed at @dolceversailles hotel for a dreamy mini break.

If you’re travelling from Paris, make sure you give yourself a few hours to explore the palace and gardens. The surrounding town is worth an explore too.

The palace gets super busy on weekends and in the summer, so definitely book a time slot for your visit online.

You need ticket entry to the palace and a separate ticket for the gardens.

The best time to visit for photos and emptier rooms is first thing in the morning. By afternoon time there’s thousands of people there.

The audio guide is so interesting if you’re interested in history, Louis XIV and Marie Antoinette.

I’ve just styled up the cutest autumn winter outfit from @riverisland which works from day to night for transitional season.

It ticks loads of this seasons trends, from this gorgeous fluffy faux fur jacket in the colour of the season, burgundy. To this dusky pink, floaty, tiered dress, like the ones on the Chloe catwalk.

Finish of with this epic pair of metallic boots for a night out or cute Mary Janes or flat boots for the day.

I’ve always wanted to visit Versailles Palace in

I’ve always wanted to visit Versailles Palace in France and despite visiting Paris numerous times, I’ve never quite made it to Versailles.

So when I got an invite from @dolceversailles @wyndhamhotels I jumped at the opportunity. What I didn’t realise is what a wonderful mini break destination Versailles makes.

Housed in an original French Chateaux, the hotel has a great spa, restaurants, epic art works all around its manicured acres of land. It’s great for hiking in the countryside and wandering around the quintessentially French town, with its cute French food market across the road.

We also visited the fascinating fabric museum of Toiles de Joey, 10 mins down the round, a must for fashion and textiles lovers.

I highly recommend this as a weekend destination in its own right. And you can even tag on a day in Paris if you like! 😂

If you’re looking for the perfect transitional outfit, I love this gorgeous floaty, long sleeve, mini dress from @riverisland 🩵 paired with knee high faux snakeskin boots.
