Everyone visits Jordan because of Petra, but one o

Everyone visits Jordan because of Petra, but one of my favourite parts of my trip was the desert camps in Wadi Rum.

Literally translated Wadi Rum means ‘Valley of Sand’. Being there feels so otherworldly, like you’ve landed on Mars!

Which explains why famous Hollywood films like Dune, The Martian, Star Wars, Lawrence of Arabia and many, many more were filmed there.

Waking up to the blue sky and orange landscape was so magical. Add to that the 4x4 jeep adventure, star gazing and sleeping in the desert camps, it’s an experience I highly recommend. A 2 night stay is perfect!

The ancient city you have to see once in your life

Petra in Jordan, one of the 7 Wonders of the World, has been on my bucket list for years! The romance of wandering around this lost ancient city, carved into rose coloured stone was every bit as magical as I had imagined.

But there are so many logistics to organising a Jordan trip, I really wanted someone to take all the stress out of for me. And that’s exactly what @gadventures did.

Their purpose driven, small group travel approach to visiting bucket list destinations was perfectly curated and well organised. I adored this trip, and was so pleased to finally tick my 6th Wonder of the World off my list. Just the Great Wall of China left to visit.

✨ Step back in time in the most well-preserved Roman city outside of Italy. With over 6500 years of history echoing through the columns and ancient roads.

Wandering through the Temple of Artemis, the Temple of Zeus, and taking a seat at the grand Colosseum was an incredible, magical experience.

Carved into the rose-red cliffs of southern Jordan

Carved into the rose-red cliffs of southern Jordan, Petra is one of the new 7 wonders of the world and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Once the thriving capital of the Nabataean Kingdom, this “Lost City” stands as an incredible masterpiece of architecture and history, from over 2,000 years ago. ✨

✨ If you’re visiting Petra, here are a few tips:
- It’s best to have plenty of time, ideally 2 days, including the night show
- Go early to avoid the crowds & midday heat
- Wear comfy shoes – it’s a LOT of walking on sand and rocks
- The initial walk to the Treasury is about 2km, but there are electric buggies at an extra 25 dinar (about £25) per person if you need.
- Bring plenty of water
- Don’t miss the Monastery – it’s a 3km hike with steps but it’s worth it!

It’s an unforgettable bucket-list experience 🏜️

I’ve discovered the perfect reset, recharge, min

I’ve discovered the perfect reset, recharge, mini-break destination and is only a one hour flight from London. It’s a true hidden gem of the British Isles.

Filled with beautiful deserted, white sand, wind swept beaches and stunning rock formations looking out to sea. The landscape is breathtaking.

Saint Peters Port, the capital is a quaint, historic, coastal town. The natural sea bathing pools are a must visit.

The hotels and restaurants were excellent. I particularly loved @ogh_guernsey @thefermainvalley and a visit to the lovely @hermisland with no cars, roads, just miles of sandy beaches.

If you’re looking for a restful trip, perfect for reconnecting, immersing yourself in nature, hanging out with friends, wholesome walks and dinners by the sea, you should definitely @visitguernsey 🤍

It’s one of the sunniest places in the British Isles and the locals are so friendly. Your whole trip will be filled with smiles.

I’m super lucky to have stayed in quite a few re

I’m super lucky to have stayed in quite a few resorts in the Maldives, but I have to say @jamanafaru_maldives is one of my favourites.

I love the bare foot luxury, super chilled vibe of the island. So many of the resorts have a westernised ethos and what’s lovely about JA is that it still feels authentically Maldivian, like a real life castaway island (but with all the essential luxuries!)

I loved the overwater villa so so much, just the perfect quiet moments in the private plung pool listening to the ocean and the breeze. It’s just so tranquil, peaceful and feels so exclusive.

And the food? Spectacular. This hotel is about recharging and feeling at one with nature and the sea.

I adored this hotel. Save this for your trip to the Maldives!
