Serge Gainsbourg’s House

Just round the corner from Place St-Germain-des-Pres is the house of one of Paris’ most famed musician and artist, Serge Gainsbourg. After his death in 1991 Paris went into mourning, a graffiti filled wall outside the house acts a shrine for his fans. Remember to take your felt tips and leave your own personal message. Located in the vast vault like space of a former Art Nouveau swimming pool the Hermes concept store is definitely worth a look. Housing a florist, the full clothing and equestrian lines, a book store, furniture, bikes and of course the accessories, it is Hermes world. But of course if you cant afford anything you can always grab a latte at the first floor cafe.
