The Berns Hotel was built in 1863. The incredible interior emulates that of a grand opera house. It’s the home of Stockholm Fashion Week twice a year, hosting shows in the salon and raucous parties on the outdoor balconies throughout the week. The interior is stunning with original guilt mirrors, enormous elaborate chandeliers and the aroma of the hotel’s spice scented candles fill the air. Everything about The Berns shouts opulence and decadence. In the evening choose between sushi at the restaurant or Singapore street food at the outdoor bar over looking the park. Gallery 2.35.1, the in-house night club is the place to find Stockholms beautiful people. The rooms are slick and Scandanavian in style, its worth spending a little extra for one of the stylish new terrace suites.

The Nobis opened this year and is a serious contender to The Berns as one of Stockholm’s coolest hotels. The décor is more about light, space and sculpture than its seductive predecessor. The central atrium played host to the Dagmar Show during fashion week. Its location right next door to the Acne store is a winner.
