Marrakech – Palais Namaskar – the most beautiful hotel in Morocco
Marrakech – Palais Namaskar the most beautiful hotel in the Morocco
Over the years in my career both as a fashion editor and as a travel blogger, you can imagine I’ve come across some pretty spectacular hotels, aesthetically beautiful in design, visionary architecture, immaculate service. But every now and again a really special hotel comes along and completely raises the bar for the rest of the competition.
This hotel is Palais Namaskar in Marrakech. With a multitude of awards, from Tripadvisor Best Hotel in Morocco, Conde Nast Traveller and Harper’s Bazaar Hot Hotels List, to consecutive annual prizes at The World Luxury Hotel Awards, I had pretty high expectations. Which after my wonderful stay, I’m very pleased to say were all met and then some.
I’m a sucker for a beautifully designed environment. The linear Moorish archways, gracefully accenting floating waterways and Balinese gardens, that frame the property, set the tone for the breathtaking landscape. With the mysterious Atlas Mountains providing a majestic backdrop to this oasis of calm, everything from the views, open spaces, to the decor of the suites and villas is flawless. The most decadent gym complete with chandeliers, regal Moroccan spa and the piece de resistance, the captivating restaurant over looking the pool, all play a part in the grand story of this very special place.
But what makes Palais Namaskar even more special is that despite the grandeur, you feel completely at home. The staff make you feel totally at ease, everything you ask for is delivered above and beyond requirement. Expect complementary drinks and afternoon sorbet treats by the hotel pool, a kings breakfast served in the privacy of your own private pool and a fantastic restaurant where everything on the menu is sublime. I was made to feel like royalty during my stay and it just so happens an Arabian Princess had stayed at the hotel the week before! Enough said really.
I can name a few properties in the world where The Style Traveller has been in awe, Palais Namaskar is firmly at the top of my hotels to ‘love’ list.

Above: This is the view from my suites private terrace and personal plunge pool. Majestic moorish architecture decorates the landscape as far as the eye can see.
Breakfast is served on my own private terrace, the best way to start the day. That’s not all just for me btw!
Oh, just working out at the state of the art gym complete with Murano chandelier #PoshWorkout. The view from my private terrace complete with outdoor jacuzzi, it’s a hard life.
Above and below: Suites and rooms are immaculately designed adhering to Feng Shui principles. The aligning of earth, fire and water in the interiors creates a contemporary, luxurious feeling of tranquility and calm. Being set in the 12 acre grounds means each suite boasts its own private terrace with pool. The room sizes are exceptionally spacious, all with walk in wardrobes, perfect for Style Travellers.
