I was lucky enough to be invited to stay at Ifuru for a 4 night trip and I absolutely loved the laid back luxury vibe of the island. A lot of islands I’ve visited in the Maldives are quite formal, but Ifuru is very chilled out and the staff are genuine and kind.

I arrived into Ifuru via a scenic seaplane journey from Velana International Airport. The resort is a secluded oasis surrounded by crystal-clear turquoise waters and pristine white sandy beaches. The excitement builds as you look down at the turquoise waters from the sea plane.

Beach Villas

The accommodation options at Ifuru Maldives epitomise luxury and comfort. Featuring quaint Maldivian inspired villas that seamlessly blend with the natural surroundings.

We enjoyed a private snorkelling trip where the diving instructor pointed out all the sea life. I loved daily water adventures from paddle boarding to jet skiing.

My favourite however was a sunset boat cruise where we saw a group of dolphins swimming right in front of the hotel. It was magical.

Xanadu Spa at Ifuru

The Xanadu Spa is a beautiful retreat set within the jungle at Ifuru. It has eight holistic treatment rooms with thatched roofs. We enjoyed the signature couples massage which was heavenly.

Before the massage we were invited to use the outdoor spa pool areas, to relax and swim, which were so tranquil and relaxing. And after our heavenly full body massages we enjoyed a lovely chilled glass of champagne. It was a lovely romantic way to spend the afternoon.
