Last week I spent a delightful weekend in the South of France. My boyfriend’s family own a gite (converted farm house) in Le Verdier in the wine region of Gaillac. It’s a great destination for chilling out, wine tasting, eating delicious French food and walks through the vineyards with the gite dog Gigi. The flight from London takes an hour and a half to Toulouse. Easy-jet flies there now so flights are cheap. Whether you hire a car or get picked up by Sally and Eric (who are lovely!), the 40 minute drive through the stunning Le Verdier countryside helps wash away all the stress of city life.
