Bali Sight Seeing and a day in Ubud

Bali Sight Seeing and a day in Ubud Rice Paddies in Ubud Bali sightseeing and a day in Ubud Ubud in the centre of Bali is an area of great natural beauty, filled with rice paddy fields on steep ravines. It would be a real shame to go to Bali and not visit Ubud. We went for the day, but next time I plan to stay for a few nights

Bali Sleeping

Bali Sleeping Dreamland Beach Where to stay The main resort areas in Bali are Seminyak, Kuta, Ubud, Nusa Dua and Jimbaran Bay. Kuta is effectively the commercial centre, it’s the Aussie equivalent of Benidorm, good for surfers and partying. It’s quite tacky, a visit is ok but I wouldn’t want to stay there. Nusa Dua is aimed at honey moon couples and families, all the main international luxury hotel chains

Singapore Eating and After Dark

Singapore Eating and After Dark View of Singapore Marina from the Marina Bay Sands Where? Singapore, a city-state off the south coast of Malaysia, South East Asia When? Aug/Sept 2011 Why? On Holiday with boyfriend Best time to go? Singapore is equatorial so its hot and humid all year round, it does rain on occasion but its quite welcome in the heat and aids the lush green tropical plant life

Singapore Packing and Streetstyle

Singapore Packing and Streetstyle What to wear when you’re there The main factor to think about when packing for Singapore is the humidity level, it’s boiling hot all year round, even at night, so theres no need for heavy outerwear and coats. It can get quite chilly in the air conditioned malls and hotels though so a light weight cover up could be handy. The second thing to bear in

Singapore Shopping

Singapore Shopping Orchard Road One of the best shopping destination I have ever been to! Put it this way for quite a small city there are 5 Prada stores, 5 Louis Vuittons and over 50 shopping malls! Now that is what I call serious about shopping. But if malls are not you’re thing and you get your fill of H&M and Zara back at home, there are other quirky more

Singapore – Sleeping

Singapore Sleeping Where to Stay Apart from the iconic places to stay in Singapore, namely Raffles and The Marina Bay Sands (see after dark) there are hundreds of fantastic hotels to choose from. For great deals on boutique hotels check out www.splendia.com Singapore isn’t that big and it’s easy getting around in a taxi, I would recommend the best areas to stay if you’re on holiday are the Marina or Orchard

Paris After Dark

Paris After Dark Le Royal Monceau (see hotels below)   Where? Paris, France When? I’ve been to Paris more times than I can remember, the first time officially was in my mother’s tummy (maybe why I like French food so much!), through to the many work trips, fashion weeks and shoots I’ve been on over the past few years. Best time to go? I love Paris in the summer when the bars

Paris Shopping, Clignancourt Market

Paris Shopping, Clignancourt Market   Clignancourt Market 18th arrondissement, Saturday and Sunday all day. Arrive early for the best bargains, a lot of stalls close at midday and I say stalls in loosest sense, many of them are in fact beautifully merchandised shops. Clignancourt is split into 15-20 different markets over seven hectares. It is impossible to cover the entire area in a day, but the best areas are Marche’ Surpette
