The Style Traveller London Fashion Week Wardrobe with Sweaty Betty
Where? London Fashion Week.
Why? Twice a year all the world’s major fashion players descend upon London for an intense week of catwalk shows, celebrity filled events and glittering parties.
It’s a wonderful whirlwind of a week, full of glamour, glitz, models, celebs and new season collections. It’s not all champagne and stilettos though, I travel all over London for over 14 hours a day, going from show to meeting to party, in sky scraper heels, believe me it takes a certain amount stamina. So I need to make sure I’m fit, healthy and have enough energy to survive the hectic schedule.
This year Sweaty Betty asked me how I prepare for the week fitness wise and challenged me to incorporate some of their new season, sports luxe collection into my day to day outfits for the shows.
Here’s what I do to make sure I’m fit for the shows. The Fitness Plan.
Training outfit: Flare jacket, bra top, neon shorts, trainers, weights and yoga mat all Sweaty Betty. Click the links to buy.
Each season I have a fool proof plan to make sure I’m match ready. Before embarking upon any fitness regime, I always call in the detox specialists at Purifyne to reset my body with a 2 or 3 day juice cleanse.
Training wise, I’ve been doing the brilliant ‘Social Butterfly Program‘ with personal trainer, Adrian Collins of Collins Fitness. It’s the perfect program for city dwelling, party loving ladies with busy schedules. It’s completely personalised to your goals, whether it’s a desired body shape, re-alignment or shaping up for a specific event.
When deciding what to wear for a session, it comes down to what exercises we’ll be doing, but whatever the lesson, I love a pop of colour in my kit. Bold neons and brights always lift my mood and give me a little extra motivation. I adore the ‘flare’ woven jacket (above), it’s perfect for outdoors training, has reflective stripes and a hood if it rains.
Yoga outfit: Varsity jacket, bra top, capri pants all Sweaty Betty, detox juice from Purifyne
The third step of my LFW fitness regime is Hot Yoga at Yoga Haven. I love their easy ‘drop in’ sessions, whenever you feel the need to stretch and tone in the cocooning warmth of a heated studio. It’s addictive.
My favourite yoga piece this season is the ‘Isolate’ capri legging, it’s made from the softest fabric and has a beautiful marble effect print. Pair it with the ‘rail side’ varsity jacket to keep you toasty and looking super stylish on your walk home.
So between all three plans and my gorgeous new season kit, I’m all revved up and ready to hit LFW running in my heels. See the full article on SweatyBetty.com
