When? Sept 2016
Italy is renowned for being one of the most stylish countries in the world. I recently visited Florence, for my cousins wedding, but much to my delight ;) it also happened to be on the same weekend as Pitti Uomo, Italian mens fashion week. So I managed to snap some rather dapper chaps for this Italian street style special.
As Florence is a vibrant, working city as well as a busy tourist destination, the sartorial rules are a bit of a mixed bag. Whether you’re wearing elegant work wear or channelling traveller chic, one thing is for sure, everyone here has an excellent sense of style.
Here’s my Style Traveller photo diary of Italian street style – Florence.
Pretty in pink Opening image of me in a nude pink co-ord set and above, this great cold shoulder dress is perfect for site seeing in Florence. The city’s terracotta tones and soft pink architecture provide the perfect backdrops for fashion and street style stories.
All frills and ruffles.
Another ‘cold shoulder’ look paired with bold, print silk culottes, how very on trend!
Pink makes the boys wink…
This gorgeous duo rock outfits that complement each others in tone and accessories.
Like mother and like daughter
A super chic Italian pair matching colours on their day out in Florence.
Lady in red…Holly looks fabulous in this scarlet Vivienne Westwood dress and below another of Florence’s colour coordinated couples.
And another one!!! this time Matt and Gayle wearing beautiful blue hues.
Boys, Boys, Boys
Dapper chaps – mens fashion blogger, Miles and below, Remi look dashing in their own label suits by CBD Tailoring.
Is that Jon Snow gone all trendy? looks like he left his shearling cape at Winterfell!!
The Don! The Cod-father! (nautical joke). Or just Captain Birdseye, whichever title you opt for this dude rocks!
See you next time in Venice for more of The Style Traveller Italian series.

“Every sort of coloured snipping
Won its own symmetric right :
Though your wit on each be trippin,
In the whole you take delight.
We are fair to see and blooming,
Garden-girls, and gay of heart ;
For the natural way of woman
Is so near akin to art…”
oh how lovely x
